Skylars exciting summer

Skylar has had a lot of firsts this summer.

first she had her first camp out and sleep over with a friend.  It was just next door so if she needed me I was close by.  She did great though and had a great time.

She attended Back Yard Bible club next door.

 We set up their trampoline

and she learned how to ride a 2 wheeler.  Here she is getting her training wheels off.

painting

Last week the girls wanted to paint.  Painting is so messy and the house was so clean, so we painted in the driveway.  some neighbor kids even came over to join them.

New York visit

We just got back from a visit with the Herbaly side of the family.  We had a fun filled jam packed week.  The girls had a blast with their cousins.  John and i got to catch up with all his sisters and finally meet Renee's husband Chuck.  It was great being able to see everyone.

While in New York we decided to take the girls on a paddle boat ride on Lake George.  It was a little chilly that day, and overcast, but we still had a good ride.  At first Rissy kept asking where our cabin was and why was the ship so small.  We had to explain that this was not a cruise, we were not sleeping here, and it was just a 1 hour long boat ride.

We took a walk by the lake before the cruise

We saw a rather large crane

Grandma Alma's 90th Birthday party

That's right, Grandma is 90 years old.  To celebrate her 4 children threw her a wonderful birthday party.  She had all 4 of her children, 12 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren there.  (one grandchild was sick and couldn't attend, :(  )  It was a fantastic party and grandma loved it.  Here are some pictures.

2 of Cindy Lee's children, Zach and Kate, played a lovely duet for Great Grandma. Zach on the flute and Kate on the cello.  Then they each played a solo (Zach on the sax and Kate on the cello)  It was beautiful.
