This is an older picture (from May actually, but I forgot to take a picture of her tonight) Tonight after dinner we took Skylar on her first official bike ride. Rissy rode in the buggy and Skylar got to ride her bike with us, on the street!! We just went around our block (which very rarely has any cars since we live at the end of the road) One of us was always in front of her and one behind making sure she stayed near the curb. She would start to freak out when she was going downhill and got going too fast. She was also a bit scared to be riding in the street with us, but also proud to be a big girl too. She was eager to get back on a sidewalk though and as soon as we got to Ed's house (next door) she went right back up on the sidewalk for the rest of the ride. Not all the lots are full so the sidewalk does not go all the way around the block. All in all she had fun, but one block was enough. As long as the weather stays like it is now, we will continue to take her for short bike rides, and then on longer rides she will ride in the buggy with her sister.
