Skylar wrote this all on her own

Larissa DOES know her letters.  She asked me how to spell window and then wrote it out herself.

Soup Dinner

we went to the annual soup dinner for the first responders in Tiffin.  They have home made chicken noodle soup, chili, fresh veggies, cinnamon rolls and cookies.  It's very yummy and for a good cause.  We go every year.

Skylar and her doggy

These two just can't get enough of each other.  I'll let the pictures do the talking.

100 days

About 2 weeks ago Skylar had her 100th day of school.  She made a hat and they had a little party.  She was a little grumpy when she got home so she's not smiling in the picture.

she made her 100 backwards.  oops

Sledding

It's been a few weeks, but the girls got to go sledding again this year.  Last year there was literally ONE day they were able to sled.  This year they have been sledding several times, both here in Iowa and in New York.  They might get another chance this weekend.

The Tooth Fairy

On Tuesday I got a call from Skylar's school.  She had run into another little girl in gym class and knocked a tooth loose.  She has not lost a tooth yet so this is very exciting for her.  She still hasn't lost it, but it's loose.  I wasn't prepared for this (we don't loose teeth in our family) but I found some material and made her a tooth pouch for when her tooth does finally fall out.

She came running off the bus that afternoon shouting that she had a loose tooth.  She is very excited.  Now we wait for her tooth to actually fall out.

Happy Valentines Day

Although my day wasn't the best, the girls sure had good days.  I was able to get out and get the girls a little something.  I got them each a little chocolate box, candy heart stick and stationary set.

Rissy came home with a lot of candy.  She was very happy.

Valentines projects

I'm trying to keep on top of the holidays this year with the daycare.  I like sending home little crafts, but sometimes I get too busy.  Right now all my day care kids are quite young (with the exception of the 3 year old) so I end up doing most, if not all the work.

so for the little babies (almost 4 months old) I did a footprint craft with a little poem.  Then I framed them for the parents.  I don't have a picture of the framed finished product, but here is one of the sheets.

Then with the two older ones I made mouse heart cards that say, I love you with all my heart on the back.

I was able to sneak out last night and pick up the girls a few things for Valentines day tomorrow.  I got them each a small heart box of candy (I think it has 4 pieces in it) a thing of candy hearts and a small stationary set.  I will also cut Skylar's sandwich into a heart shape for her in the morning.  I was thinking of making pancakes for them tomorrow and cutting one into a heart also.  We will see if I get up early enough.  :)
