Today John took the girls shopping in the afternoon. He wanted to get a few things for our drive to Chicago this weekend. Larissa also wanted to spend her birthday money from Grandma and Grandpa Herbaly. She picked out a new Lalaloopsy doll (then Skylar got a mini Lalaloopsy doll, daddy is a sucker!!) and they got some rain boots. Larissa picked out Hello Kitty and Skylar picked out Dora. Then they went to the mall because Larissa wanted to use more of her money for some Build-A-Bear clothes. Of course Skylar got some too (daddy!!) They each picked out an outfit and rain boots. Larissa also got an extra t-shirt and Skylar got a headband. Then they picked out a bear for me for Mother's Day. A rainbow bear. Then they picked out a swim suit and accessory bag with sunscreen, towel and beach ball. Oh and some sunglasses. It's really cute.

The girls were so excited about their rain boots that they kept asking if it was going to rain. I said I didn't know. We ate dinner and then decided to take a walk. I went out back for a minute and heard thunder, then I looked off in the distance and saw it pouring. The girls came out to see what I was looking at, then ran back in to get their boots on. Ha ha. They were so excited. They ran out front to jump in puddles. Too bad it barely rained. They still had fun running in their boots until the storm got too close.
